Sometimes Spam is Fun

This was posted on our website at work.  The article it was posted on was “Royals wrap up road trip with 6-3 win at Cleveland”

It’s worth a chuckle.  Even more fun if you read it out loud.

A formidable share, I simply given this onto a colleague who was doing a little bit evaluation on this. And he actually bought me breakfast because I discovered it for him.. smile. So let me reword that: Thnx for the deal with! However yeah Thnkx for spending the time to discuss this, I really feel strongly about it and love studying more on this topic. If possible, as you grow to be expertise, would you thoughts updating your weblog with extra details? It is highly useful for me. Large thumb up for this weblog post!

Ha ha.  How can two of my least favorite “bands” combine for something so totally awesome?

The MANtage

I couldn’t help but laugh.

Concerning the Norn:

They were straight-faced vikings who felt superior to humans and who took honor to the extreme in Eye of the North. Now they’re the goofball drunkards who take honor to the extreme in Guild Wars 2?  …So they’re dwarves, basically, but 9 ft tall.

Hilarious phone call last night.

So nothing much of interest usually happens when I’m at the radio station late running the board for a ball game.  But last night I got a call on the business line that I just about couldn’t keep a straight face though.  I wish I could have recorded it.  I’ll try to recite the call as well as I can remember it.

The woman was older, but not senior aged.  Maybe late 40′s with a slight rasp to her voice.  Her words were spoken with a general tone of bewilderment.

“Eagle Radio and Hull Broadcasting,” I answered.

“Yeah, uh.  Is Trader John on today?”  she said, I assume she is talking about ‘Trading Post’ hosed by our AM guy, John.

“Umm… Yes ma’am.  It was on at 9:00 today and will be on again at 9:00 tomorrow,” I answered.

“Oh, so he’s going to start doing it at night now?” she said a bit suprised.

“No, no.  9:00 to 10:00 in the morning,” I said.

“But I have my radio on right now and I’m picking up some other guy,” she said as if I were lying to her face.

“Well, it’s 9:30 a night right now…” I replied in a deadpan tone.

“IT’S NINE O’CLOCK AT NIGHT?” she bellered.

“Yes, ma’am,” I said trying to keep from snickering, but somewhat wondering if she is messing with me.

“Oh, don’t tell me I slept all day.  Are you sure?  Oh no.  Okay… well… thank you…” she said.

“No problem, Trading Post should be on in about 12 hours!” I couldn’t help it, I let out a small chuckle before hanging up the phone.

Communication is the key!

Well one of the benefits of my recent lack of motivation is that I’ve had plenty of time to *gasp* watch TV.  Something I don’t usually do a ton of.  Biebs introduced the show “Big Bang Theory” to me quite some time ago when it first came out, and I watched a few clips, but never really felt like sitting down and watching a show.

So now with a lack of anything better to do, Andrea dug up some episodes of the show and we started watching.  A couple episodes in and (a few years late to the show) I’m hooked.

We’re both really enjoying the show, so we’ve been trying to watch all the episodes together, but it’s HARD.  Especially when she’s off bowling and I have nothing to do for about three hours.  So after resisting for as long as I could, I went ahead a few episodes and just figured I’d watch them again when sat down and watched them “together”.

So only after we sat down at lunch and watch an episode (which I’d already seen) did I find out that Andrea had done the SAME THING TOO!  So we both re-watched an episode that we both thought the other didn’t watch only because we didn’t tell each other about skipping ahead.

So maybe if we’d been honest with each other we could have actually seen something new!

The IGN Boards update…

I seriously have no one to share this with that I actually know… you know… in real life.  But after being on the IGN boards for eight years… this is honestly one of the funniest things I’ve seen in MONTHS!

I know no one gets it.  I wish I knew someone that did so we could laugh together.  I seriously had to wipe the tears from my eyes.

Ha ha! Funny posts.

I was reading a Daily Tech article.  I love reading the bickering that takes place in the comments.

So we should exile ourselves to the moon and let Gaia heal herself away from our horrific influence!

How do you know we didn’t exile ourselves here away from the Moon? Look what happened to the Moon since we’ve left. What an awful place it turned into.

How to catch a cat.

We were playing with Sydney last night and after it worked the first time, I had to grab the camera and see if it would work the second time!

The gift exchange

First off…  Sorry about the sporadic posting lately.  I have no excuses.

We had our gift exchange at work today.  Our limit was $5.  There’s not a lot you can do with $5 these days, but Chris Elsen from the Nightshift sprung for a very….practical gift.  I’m now the proud new owner of a 9-pack of Charmin Ultra Soft toilet paper.

First off, I think he forgot to get something so he just grabbed something he saw laying around the house.  Let me be the first to say at least I didn’t get USED toilet paper.  But the more I think about it, it’s not a bad gift at all.  It’s practical.  It will defiently get used.  And I always hate having to spend some of my hard earned money on paper to wipe my ass with.  So I have a couple weeks’ reprieve from TP buying.

Thanks, Chris!  Merry Christmas.

For all you tax payers out there…

Thanks for the chocolate bar!

Picked this up at Andrea’s company Christmas party a week or two ago.  She works for a finance company and apparently AIG sent out some free candy bars.  I’m just glad they aren’t wasting any money.

Which do you say?

I could still be wrong…

SNL Tina Fey as Gov. Sarah Palin

She had left the SNL scene, but HAD to come back to do these parodies of the Govenor of Alaska and VP running mate of Senator McCain. I wonder if she’ll come back to do some more after Palin does some more interviews…. We’ll just have to wait and watch SNL every Saturday night!

Second installment

NBC has removed these videos from Youtube, so I couldn’t embed them into the post. They are linked to the NBC site, so if there are commercials before the video, I’m sorry.

The Smoke Can

In all its glory.

In all its glory.

You’ve probably heard me talk about Smokey Dan before.  And just incase you needed justification to that claim, here’s the smoke can.  Now I can’t say ALL these are Dan’s.  There are a couple other smokers in the building.  But I will confidently say that this is 95% Dan’s work.

Legend has it the can has never been emptied.  They say through a delicate balance of rainwater and air conditioning condensation, combined with the rusted out bottom, and the random butt that ignites the can in to a smoldering nauseating fountian of filth…that it perpetually remains 3/4 full.  It’s one of natures true wonders.

Best of Swap Shop

I got the chance to listen to some Swap Shop today over the ‘net.  Still comedy gold.  I edited down the half hour show into 3 minutes of Jerry and classic Swap Shop callers.  Todays show emphasizes birthdays and garage sales.  Shocking!
