You may have heard in recent months the phrase “hell’s yeah”. I would simply like to inform everyone that it was I who invented the saying. Infact, I wasn’t even aware that it had caught on until I saw those damn PSP squirrels on TV saying “Hell’s Yeah!”
You may be curious as to the origin of Hell’s Yeah. After all, anyone can claim to invent something, but there is a very specific heritage that belongs to the phrase, and I, Matt Althouse, am at it’s root. As most know I’m a big AC/DC fan. And one day listening to the song Hell’s Bells on a beautiful day driving in the ol’ ’79 with some friends, I decided to exclaim “Hell’s Yeah!” in place of “Hell’s Bells”. So my friends and I start using the phrase for daily expressions of exclamitory approval.
Fast forward 4 or 5 years, and next thing you know these friggin’ PSP squirrels are saying it like it’s trendy, and now everybody is saying it. So I just wanted to make sure that everyone knew how I’m a mad crazy trend setter.
That is all.
